Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art in size L (sku-13258869362, UPC 464129432959) reproduces B.W. Kilburn's historic print At school, Sykes Chapel, Miss. at 16" x 20". The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives and makes reproductions with archival paper and pigmented inks for long-term display.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; the National Digital Library Program began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history. The company's range includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
