Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13268119373, UPC 467953083151, is a Black, size L reproduction of an architectural drawing for alterations to the Lady Bird Special railroad car for President Lyndon B. Johnson. The print shows an elevation, plan and details and measures 16 x 20 inches. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on the complexity of American cultural heritage. The company's prints use fine-art and archival papers.

Archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to keep prints suitable for display over a lifetime and for passing down. Other prints in its range include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The company suggests retro-style posters for a home, study or workplace, or as gifts.
