It is Black Wall Art from Snapshots of the Past, size L, listed as sku-13286711758; UPC 469919569686. The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.
Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.
Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive, mass-produced prints possible. The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.
The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. The range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. Retro-style prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
