Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Black sku-13302457840

This Black, size L Wall Art from Snapshots of the Past, sku-13302457840, is a 16" x 20" historic print titled American Express Bldg. and Broadway North. UPC: 468737419678. The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives on archival paper with pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, making inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The company's range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

These retro-style prints can be displayed at home or at work or given as gifts.
