Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive. A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations. The range includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
