Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L. This 16" x 20" print shows Alice (Roosevelt) Longworth, born in 1884, seated on a step with her 2 year old daughter Paulyna on Alice's 43rd birthday. Both face left. The brand makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796 and enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural history. The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations.

The range includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. SKU sku-13269213346; UPC 468034287185.
