The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, a technique that enabled inexpensive mass production of prints, was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks, materials described as suitable for prints that can last a lifetime and be handed down.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. Such prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
