Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13272918625

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13272918625, UPC 465336337891, is a Black, size L reproduction print titled “Adam and Eve in Paradise.” The 16" x 20" image shows Adam with an arm around Eve as she grasps an apple at the same time as the snake.

The company produces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks, which the listing says can last a lifetime. Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The brand also offers retro posters for home, study or workplace display and as gifts, including old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
