Snapshots of the Past Black, size L, Decorative Pillows & Throws, SKU sku-5275703571, UPC 469926456573. The listed item is a framed print of a passenger Zeppelin airship measuring 17-7/8" x 21-7/8". The company restores historical maps, photos, and prints from Library of Congress archives for reproduction.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make mass-produced posters inexpensive.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural heritage. The reproductions use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The company's other subjects include holiday posters and early aerial views of American cities.
