Snapshots of the Past Framed Wall Art L sku-5237339967

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art is a Black, size L framed reproduction print of Westtown (Friends) Boarding School in 1810. The print measures 17-7/8" x 21-7/8" and draws on images restored from Library of Congress archives. The company uses archival paper and pigmented inks for prints that can last a lifetime and be passed down.

Its range includes historical maps, photos, prints, old holiday posters and early aerial views of cities such as Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts. Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

In 1989, the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history. UPC: 469328908182. SKU: sku-5237339967.
