Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print L sku-5316755470

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art: a Black, size L framed photo print of the 1908 Davenport Rest in Spokane, measuring 36-3/8" x 8-3/8". SKU sku-5316755470; UPC 466970946982. The company was founded in 2001 and was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online buyers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Its reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints are restored from Library of Congress archives and made with fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks; the source says they can last a lifetime and be passed down.

Lithography was invented in 1796 and allowed inexpensive mass production of prints. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989. That pilot laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections about American cultural heritage.

Other available images include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The prints can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
