Snapshots of the Past Fort Worth Wall Art L sku-5322464703

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art sku-5322464703 (UPC 461032600376) is a Black, size L framed reproduction of a 1920 Fort Worth, TX photo, measuring 36-3/8" x 8-3/8". The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, enabling inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The reproductions use fine-art and archival papers with pigmented inks, intended to last for generations.

The company's other print subjects include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. They can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
