Snapshots of the Past sku-5251778627, UPC 467759208086, is Black Wall Art in size L: a framed reproduction of a TX 1919 Block 818 photo taken from the west in Wichita County. It measures 36-3/8" x 8-3/8". The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. In 1989, the Library of Congress American Memory pilot project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections emphasizing the complexity of American cultural heritage.

Reproductions use fine-art and archival papers; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last a lifetime and be passed down. The range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. These retro-style prints can be displayed at home or at work and given as gifts.
