Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, sku-5315221507, UPC 466892764053. This framed print shows a 1911 panoramic view of Knoxville, TN, at 36-3/8" x 8-3/8". The company makes restored reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it describes itself as the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural heritage. The company's range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home or work or as gifts.
