Snapshots of the Past L Wall Art Print | sku-5283470504

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L and color Black, is a framed reproduction print titled "Take only your share, don't waste food!" It measures 17-7/8" x 21-7/8" and is listed under SKU sku-5283470504 and UPC 462219623140. The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

In 1989, the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections documenting American cultural history. The reproductions use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered for display at home or work and as gifts.
