Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, SKU sku-5309012220, is a Black, size L framed print of an 1870 Akron, Ohio map. It measures 17-7/8" x 21-7/8"; UPC 461258694081. The company makes restored reproductions of historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives, using fine-art and archival paper with pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that work laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections documenting American cultural heritage. The company's other prints include vintage holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
