Snapshots of the Past sku-5277021906 is Black Wall Art in size L, with a framed J.M. McCormick print of Dallas, Texas measuring 17-7/8" x 21-7/8". Its UPC is 463238609597. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using fine art and archival paper. Archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to help prints last for generations.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The company's other prints include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. They can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
