Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L sku-5231277328 Print

Snapshots of the Past offers this Black, size L framed Wall Art print of Fred. Roschy carriage works in St. Petersburg, measuring 17-7/8" x 21-7/8". It reproduces an image from the Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The reproductions use archival paper and pigmented inks, intended to last for generations. The range includes historical maps, photographs, holiday posters and early aerial city views for display or gifts. SKU: sku-5231277328. UPC: 468901212067.
