This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art item is a Black, size L, framed E.B. Cooley print labeled 2 and measuring 17-7/8" x 21-7/8". The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of posters possible. A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company's prints include old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts. SKU: sku-5277502760. UPC: 465117990512.
