For safe use the unit has a 2-minute continuous run limit; if the run time is exceeded the overheat indicator will flash red. Allow the shredder to cool for 15 minutes before using it again. The machine offers a safety mode plus manual jam-clearing — when a paper jam occurs you can clear it easily using the FWD button.
