A knob adjusts pressure to suit material thickness: turn it clockwise to increase pressure or counterclockwise to decrease it. KOI liquid crystal controls maintain a set temperature, switch between ℃ and ℉, and adjust time from 0-999 seconds and temperature from 0-752 ° F. A 700W cast aluminum heating plate uses four heating tubes to distribute heat across the plate.

A buzzer sounds when the transfer finishes or the set time is reached. The heating plate has a heat-resistant bonded PTFE coating intended to reduce scorching and fire risk, and fuses are intended to reduce electrical hazards.
