Deep backwashing is provided by a 2HP blower with a media agitator that sends powerful air bursts through the Bio Comb media to separate debris, prevent channeling, and restore flow without requiring an oversized backwash pump. Circulation is handled by a 2,000 GPH Aqua Pulse Inline Pump with priming pot; this energy-efficient 1/3 HP inline pump includes a leaf basket and priming pot and is rated at 120V, 3.0 Amps, and 360 Watts for continuous operation. The unit ships ready to install with 1 cu. ft. of Bio Comb filter media preloaded, and it is pre-plumbed with 2" union fittings and a 6-position valve (Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Recirculate, Waste, Close) for easy maintenance.
