Compass Games GRANT 1171 Blue One Size sku-15026772053

Compass Games GRANT: The Western Campaign of 1862 is a Unisex Strategy Games title, model 1171, listed in Blue and One Size. It covers the Civil War campaign in Western Tennessee and neighboring areas in the early months of 1862, including Fort Donelson, Island Number Ten and Shiloh, a campaign that made General U.S. Grant's reputation. Players command the Tennessee campaign.

The Union player coordinates three armies and uses naval and land forces to advance along major rivers, take Nashville and Corinth, and seize Island Number Ten to open the Mississippi River. The Confederate player tries to block Union offensives, counterattack and, if possible, move the war into Kentucky. River movement and combat are as important as land operations.

A chit-based sequence of play varies the game and models the abilities of Grant and Johnston. SKU: sku-15026772053. UPC: 196852818655.
