Purpose-built for seniors, the GrandPad combines a tablet and phone in a single, secure device with large icons and simplified navigation. Its private network blocks spam and scams and includes fraud-prevention measures backed by world-class U.S.-based customer care. Activation must be completed by calling GrandPad, and you’ll choose from six plans — Basic, Premium, or Ultimate (monthly or annual). Plans begin at $25/month or $275/year, and the first month is free; without an active plan the device offers only limited functionality. The unit is locked and not compatible with other wireless carriers; it is not compatible with Consumer Cellular. Family members can stay connected using complimentary companion apps for Android and iOS to securely share photos, videos and messages. Seniors get easy voice and video calling, photo sharing, multiplayer games, curated music and custom content, plus Grandie the virtual companion to help keep users engaged. Select plans also include 911 calling and all plans come with curated apps and U.S.-based support.
