It provides turn-by-turn trail navigation on unpaved roads and tracks using OpenStreetMap™, U.S. Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Maps, and Adventure Roads and Trails, while City Navigator® offers reliable on-road routing. Explore off-road terrain with high-definition digital elevation maps, private and public land boundaries, campground locations and snow trail information. Download subscription-free satellite imagery directly to the unit for detailed overhead views of routes and terrain (requires a connection with Wi‑Fi® technology). View snowmobile trail coverage for select areas in the U.S. and Canadian provinces, including snowmobile-accessible points such as fuel stops, warming shelters, restaurants and more. The device supports Outdoor Maps+ for premium map layers like slope angle, slope aspect and avalanche risk reports (subscription required). Built-in sensors — altimeter, barometer, compass and pitch/roll gauges — provide tough-terrain guidance, and the package includes rugged roll tube and handlebar mount options to suit your powersport setup. Use the group ride mobile feature in the Tread® smartphone app to track friends’ live locations (requires active cellular connections and use of the Tread app on your and each friend’s smartphones enabled with BLUETOOTH® technology). The app also enables trip planning, easy GPX file sharing to try new routes, live weather radar and more. An upgraded processor speeds map drawing and route calculations, and you can add button control while riding by pairing with the wired Handlebar Controller accessory (sold separately). For off-grid location sharing and voice communication, pair with the 6” Group Ride Radio accessory and use the included push-to-talk fist mic (sold separately; group tracking is available for riders using compatible Garmin navigators and requires connections to vehicle power).
