Function101 Button Remote General Electronic Accessories

The Function101 Button Remote is an Apple TV replacement remote sold as a Pack of 5 under General Electronic Accessories. It pairs through Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which supports setup and use when line of sight is unavailable. Infrared controls power, volume, and mute on external TVs, soundbars, and receivers, but requires direct line of sight.

The remote can be programmed for those functions on over 100+ brands; it cannot navigate Smart TV apps. Dedicated FF and REWIND buttons and the right and left arrows around OK can pause, fast-forward, or rewind content in apps such as Prime Video, Hulu, YouTube TV, and Apple TV+. Behavior varies by app, and the support page has app-specific guidance.

The Home button provides access to tvOS Control Center and audio controls for AirPods and HomePods. HomePod speaker volume is controlled through tvOS Control Center, not the volume buttons. Press P DOWN to switch apps and double-tap UP to close a stuck app.

The remote works with all Apple TV and Apple TV 4K models, including A1218, A1378, A1427, A1469, A1625, A1842, A2169, A2737, A2843, A3015, A2988, and A3119. It is a non-Siri alternative to the Siri Remote (2nd gen) [B0933G71SZ / MJFM3LL/A]. It is designed to work out of the box; if it does not, check line of sight to the Apple TV.

Legacy Harmony Remotes or 1st-generation non-Siri Apple TV Remotes can cause conflicts. Two (2) AAA batteries are included, so recharging is not required.
