What is Customer Questions & Answers?

Customer Questions & Answers lets registered customers ask product-specific questions and share answers based on their experience. Questions and answers appear after moderation.

Ask about the product itself, especially details another customer may know from using it. For example: Does this camera take good pictures in low light? How long does this laptop battery last while watching movies? Does this computer have noisy cooling fans?

Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio USB Microphones package in Silver (SKU sku-309640035; UPC 645312501878). The listing calls it a 3rd Generation package; the included Scarlett Solo USB audio interface is described as a 4th Gen 2-in, 2-out model. Its low-noise mic preamp, Hi-Z instrument input and 120dB dynamic range support microphone and guitar recording.

It uses converters also found in Focusrite Rednet interfaces. Air Mode adds presence and harmonic drive, Dynamic Gain Halos help set recording levels, and virtual loopback inputs capture computer audio. Focusrite Control 2 runs on PC or Mac, while Easy Start guides setup. The custom headphone amp has independent level controls.

The package includes a CM25 MkIII condenser mic for sources including vocals and acoustic guitar, SH-450 closed-back headphones, a USB A-C cable, 3m XLR cable, Clutch CL-MB100PK tripod boom stand, stand clip, carry bag, Gator RI-POPFILTER Rok-It pop filter with clamp mount, and 5 reusable 8" hook-and-loop cable ties.

Software includes Ableton Live Lite, with instruments, effects and clip and scene launching; Avid Pro Tools Artist and its Complete Plugin Bundle for three months, followed by a 25% discount on Artist or 33% on Studio; and three months of Splice Sounds for new accounts, with royalty-free sounds and new releases daily.

Hitmaker Expansion includes Antares Auto-Tune Access for near-real-time or stylized pitch adjustment; Softube Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555 for guitar tones from clean to high gain; Native Instruments MASSIVE, with over 1300 presets; and two Sonnox VoxDoubler plugins for widening and thickening vocals.

It also includes two months of Landr Studio, with unlimited MP3 mastering and distribution, plus five masters usable after the subscription; Brainworx bx_console Focusrite SC, a channel strip based on ISA 110 preamps with EQ, de-esser, compressor, limiter, gate and expander; Focusrite Red 2 & 3 Plug-in Suite, modeling EQ and compressors heard on releases over the last 30 years; XLN Audio Addictive Keys Studio Grand, based on a Steinway Model D; XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2: Studio Rock, with Tama and Pearl drums and Paiste and Sabian cymbals recorded at Decibel Studios in Stockholm; Relab LX480 Essentials, with four reverbs modeled on The Hit Factory NYC's unit; and FAST Balancer, which offers three selectable mixing options for instrument or vocal tracks.

Focusrite provides 24/7/365 support and a three-year warranty.
