The Vestia No4 Ultimate is Focal’s top-tier 3-way hi-fi floorstanding speaker, combining refined styling with powerful dynamics. Sold individually and finished in Light Wood, it’s designed to deliver deep, controlled bass and detailed high frequencies for both music and home cinema use. Bass section: twin 21cm Slatefiber cone woofers provide ultra-deep, articulate low end. Slatefiber is Focal’s exclusive cone material made by sandwiching recycled, non-woven carbon fibres between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. Slatefiber construction: Focal engineers use non-woven carbon fibres aligned in the same direction to maximise rigidity, improve damping and keep the cones lightweight — the three essentials for an optimal driver. Tweeter: an inverted dome tweeter in an Aluminium/Magnesium alloy is moulded into Focal’s signature ‘M’ profile. This shape increases stiffness, lowers distortion and widens the dispersion for smoother, more refined treble. The tweeter and Slatefiber cones are manufactured in France in the Focal workshops. Cabinet and bass reflex: the cabinet incorporates both a front-facing vent for stronger frontal impact and a rear vent to broaden and deepen bass response. This bass-reflex arrangement enhances the perceived depth and immersion of the soundstage.
