Laurence Sterne; Melvyn New; W B Gerard sku-29510583 Book

Laurence Sterne; Melvyn New; W B Gerard sku-29510583 is an All Books hardcover: Florida Edition of the Works of Laurence Sterne: The Miscellaneous Writings and Sterne's Subscribers, an Identification List. J. A. Downie calls the Florida Edition the standard scholarly text since the publication of The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman in 1978.

He says this ninth and final volume maintains the earlier volumes' editorial standards and covers existing criticism. Thomas Keymer says it provides a definitive edition of A Political Romance (1759) and establishes a canon of fugitive writings through analysis of attribution evidence. He praises the editing, introductions and annotations.

Elizabeth Kraft praises its annotation, context and engagement with criticism, and points to the annotated subscription list as a resource for studying eighteenth-century literary culture.
