Light output is rated at a Guide Number of approximately GN15 (ISO 100 in meters), giving enough illumination for a wide range of shooting situations. The unit supports TTL auto flash for Nikon for automatic exposure balancing, and offers a flash duration from 1/1000s to 1/30000s to freeze fast motion. Recycle time at full power is approximately 1.5 seconds, reducing downtime between shots. Built-in wireless sender and receiver functions provide off-camera control with a transmission range of up to 100m, and it also accepts optical slave triggering using S1 and S2 modes.
