It combines 1/2 inch x 100ft Rope with 1/4 inch x 10ft Chain: nylon 3-strand rope and High Test G4 stainless steel chain. A 1/4-inch stainless steel screw-pin bow shackle attaches the anchor to the chain.
The rode is hand-spliced by professionals at the company's Florida facility, and its lock stitch helps prevent wear, loosening and fraying. The rope provides elasticity and resistance to abrasion, water and UV damage; the chain resists rust and corrosion. The rode is designed for windlass systems, including those from Five Oceans, Lewmar, Quick, Lofran's, Maxwell, Vetus and Muir.
