These direct-wired (120 Volt) units include 9V alkaline battery backup for continuous protection and are designed for fast, low-effort installation and maintenance. Installation & mounting: The preferred mounting bracket features a large wiring access opening and keyhole slots so you won’t need to remove electrical box screws. A Quick-Connect wiring harness makes AC hookup simple and time-saving. The Perfect Mount design helps align the alarm easily, and a dust cover is included for protection during installation. Battery and theft protection: A battery pull tab preserves the 9V battery until the home is occupied. The side-load battery compartment allows battery insertion or removal while the unit remains mounted on the ceiling or wall. Two locking features help prevent battery theft and/or removal of the unit. Sensing & alarm functions: Uses an Electrochemical Carbon Monoxide Sensor — the most accurate sensor available compared to other sensing technologies — alongside smoke detection.
