The Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is an ultra-high-performance summer tire in size 275/40R18 99W. Model 002927, SKU sku-5632064512 and UPC 696449548120 identify this Shop by Brand listing. Pulse Groove Technology channels water out of the tread to reduce hydroplaning risk, while dense siping improves wet-road grip.

Firestone states that wet stopping distances are up to 20% shorter than those of the previous Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500. Wide shoulder blocks and the tread pattern support dry-road cornering. The asymmetrical tire is intended for sports and performance-oriented coupes and sedans; the source also mentions muscle cars, daily driving and occasional track use.

Drivers comparing it with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S report similar performance at a lower price. It has a treadwear rating of 340. Do not use it below 45°F: the tread compound hardens in colder weather and performance falls. Product may vary from the picture. Wheel or rim is not included.
