Richard Adatto: Figoni on Delahaye All Books sku-5063261712

Figoni on Delahaye is a hardcover by Richard Adatto, listed under All Books (sku-5063261712). It traces Joseph Figoni's designs and coachwork for Delahaye through drawings, notebooks, archival photographs and historical documents. The book covers over fifty Delahayes and includes drawings not previously published.

Figoni used clay models and true-scale wire mock-ups mounted on chassis, though only his drawings and a small wooden model survive. Modern photographs, many by Michael Furman, show restored cars. Figoni's son Claude recounts his father's early work, difficulties during World War II and later recognition.

Adatto also writes about meeting owners, restorers and historians and finding cars once thought lost.
