™ OBD2 Edition is not only a powerful transient reducing device but also a versatile addition or alternative to the traditional cigarette port installation. This innovative solution allows you to utilize the cigarette port while enhancing protection closer to the car’s computer.

By plugging directly into the OBD2 port, the T.R.A.P.™ secures vulnerable circuitry in the vicinity of the car’s computer, providing an extra layer of defense against fast transients. This strategic placement ensures a more comprehensive shield for critical components. This item seamlessly integrates into your multi-point protection system, offering greater flexibility.

Now, you can safeguard your vehicle on multiple fronts while still making the most of your 12-volt auxiliary power outlet. What sets the T.R.A.P.-OBD2™ apart? It’s a versatile transient reducing device designed for use in various vehicles, including cars, trucks, and RVs.

By plugging directly into your vehicle’s OBD2 port, it ensures comprehensive protection against very fast transients originating from different sources. What can you expect protection against? The T.R.A.P.™ is engineered to guard against a spectrum of threats, including vehicle transients from load changes (such as A/C activation), conducted transients from charging ports, and even radiated energy from lightning strikes or electromagnetic pulses (EMPs).

Elevate your vehicle’s electrical safety with the T.R.A.P. ™ OBD2 Edition where innovation meets protection. What is an OBD2 Port? An OBD2 port (On-Board Diagnostics II) is a standardized 16 pin connector in vehicles, allowing access to the car’s computer for diagnostic and monitoring purposes.

The OBD2 port, mandated in most vehicles since the mid-’90s, is a standardized interface located typically under the dashboard. It enables diagnostic tools to communicate with the car’s Engine Control Module (ECM), providing real-time data on engine performance, emissions, and other essential systems. This data helps diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and monitor the vehicle’s overall health.

Does this replace other T.R.A.P. ™ Products? The OBD2 port’s standardized 16-pin interface creates an opportunity for all our customers, ensuring compatibility and ease of use across a wide range of vehicles. This standardized design doesn’t render previous systems obsolete but rather enhances the versatility and accessibility of our products.

Whether you’re upgrading or maintaining an existing setup, the OBD2 compatibility ensures a seamless and user-friendly experience for all our valued customers.
