The look is more authentic than ever, but close-tolerance specifications, nylon worm bearings, and 15:1 gear ratio make Golden Age tuners smoother and more efficient than vintage machines ever were. Two optional relic finishes duplicate that "well-played" patina that makes most other modern tuners look johnny-come-lately on a vintage or reproduction instrument. The Loar-shape steel baseplates even have the same footprint and engraving as originals. Old-style string post shape, Square worm supports, Straight-slot worm gear screws, Roundhead straight-slot mounting screws, Removable black or ivoroid knobs with vintage shape.
