ETH-MODBUS-IO16R / ETH-MODBUS-IO16T Ethernet Modbus I/O Converter — 16 Inputs, 16 Relay or 16 Transistor Outputs, Support S7 Protocol
Overview: Ethernet Modbus I/O converters available in two models — ETH-MODBUS-IO16R and ETH-MODBUS-IO16T — each offering 16 digital inputs and 16 outputs with industrial isolation and status indicators. Both units provide flexible serial and Ethernet interfacing and built-in protocol conversion for Modbus networks. Also supports S7 protocol. Common hardware features: - 16 × 24VDC digital inputs with photoelectric isolation - 1 RJ45 Ethernet port, 10/100Mbps Ethernet communication - 2 RS-485 interfaces: one DB9 female connector and one terminal block; interfaces can be used independently - Baud rate and station number DIP switches for easy parameter setup ETH-MODBUS-IO16R specifics: - 16 channels of relay digital output - Each input/output channel includes a corresponding status indicator light ETH-MODBUS-IO16T specifics: - 16 channels of 24VDC transistor digital output with photoelectric isolation - Each input/output channel includes a corresponding status indicator light Protocol and networking: - Supports MODBUS TCP, MODBUS RTU, and TCP protocols, and permits 4 MODBUS TCP connections - Built-in bidirectional conversion between MODBUS TCP and MODBUS RTU - Can operate as a MODBUS TCP server or client - Supports mapping up to 6 MODBUS RTU stations connected to this module into a single MODBUS TCP connection with corresponding configuration points for server control Use cases: Ideal for integrating distributed digital I/O into Ethernet/Modbus systems, converting between MODBUS TCP and RTU networks, or extending Modbus RTU devices onto an Ethernet backbone while maintaining per-channel status indication and isolated inputs/outputs.
