Essiac concentrated liquid herbal extract comes as a 300 mL (300ml, 3 Pack) Unisex product in Shop all Immune Support, SKU sku-5551346652. The alcohol-based tincture is sold in a dark-tinted 10.14 fl oz bottle intended to preserve its oils and plant nutrients. Its traditional formulation, used since 1922, contains burdock root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark and Indian rhubarb root extracts.

It requires no brewing and is described as 4x to 6x more concentrated than brewed tea, with greater absorption than water- or glycerin-based extracts. Essiac says its antioxidants support overall health and that the remedy aids detoxification of the blood, liver and lymph nodes.

According to the supplied account, a Canadian Ojibwa healer gave nurse Rene Caisse the formula in the early 1920’s; Caisse later made it into a drink, named it by spelling her surname backward and devoted the rest of her life to caring for patients with it.
