SUA ER308L TIG rods are Welding Consumables in size 0.045" - (10 Lb), UPC 689761165861. The rods are 36" long and 0.045" in diameter; the package is labeled 10 LB. They are intended for welding 19% chromium and 9% nickel austenitic stainless steels, including 304L and 308 L, and stabilized grades 321 and 347.

Carbon content below 0.03% helps retain intergranular corrosion resistance in the weld deposit and weld zone, producing x-ray-quality welds. Uses include dairy, food and restaurant equipment, chemical tanks, general fabrication where corrosion is a moderate concern, and cryogenic applications.

Recommended TIG settings use DCEN (DC-) with 2% thoriated, 2% ceriated, 2% or 1.5% lanthanated, or rare-earth tungsten. Use 100% argon shielding gas, or argon/helium for greater penetration and higher speeds.
