Identities: Victor Jeleniewski Seidler sku-10797822

Victor Jeleniewski Seidler, SKU sku-10797822, is listed under All Manuals & Guides. Embodying Identities: Culture, Differences and Social Theory is a hardcover book about how people create and shape identities. It contrasts the seemingly fixed categories of class, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality and religion in the 1970s and 1980s with a more fluid understanding of identity.

The book develops a language of social theory for expressing differences with dignity and self-worth, drawing on Marx, Weber, Durkheim, critical theory and post-structuralism. It is aimed at students of sociology, politics, social work, philosophy and cultural studies.
