This Unbranded 6 Inch, 2000-grit elastic polyurethane polishing wheel contains silicon carbide abrasive and has a uniform microporous structure. It is intended for wet or dry fine polishing, including stainless steel and copper; particles fall off during polishing without producing dust. The wheel is 6 inch in diameter, with a 1/2 inch spindle and 1 inch thickness.

Its listed hardness is 70A-75A Shore. Match the wheel to the machine's spindle diameter and speed. The usual polishing speed is 1500-3000 rpm. Start slowly with low pressure, especially on thin-walled parts, and keep the polishing position moving to avoid burns and uneven results.

The wheel can be used with lubricant or cutting fluid to cool the workpiece and can partly replace sandpaper or scouring-pad wheels. The material is made by foaming polyurethane and adding silicon carbide or cerium oxide powder; wheels can be made in various grits and hardnesses. It differs from an ordinary sponge in material, density, water absorption and durability.
