No rating yet(0 ratings)ECCPP throttle body assembly, sku-5495944563, is listed under Jeep Parts and measures 7.06 * 6.3 * 4.86. The stated fitment covers 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2013-2016 Dodge Dart, 2016-2018 Fiat 500X, 2014-2020 Jeep Cherokee, 2017-2021 Jeep Compass, 2015-2021 Jeep Renegade and 2015-2021 Ram ProMaster City. The throttle body is part of the engine's air intake system.
Its housing contains a throttle plate, or butterfly valve, that rotates on a shaft. Pressing the accelerator opens the plate to let air into the engine; releasing it closes the plate and restricts airflow to the combustion chamber. This regulates engine and vehicle speed.
The listing advises running in the throttle valve when the vehicle is not stable under load and not removing it while the vehicle is unstable. When replacing the valve, replace the bottom gasket of the valve body or apply sealant. Each throttle body is tested for OE fit. Check your vehicle model and OE number before ordering.
