EBC Brakes RK7183 Disc Kit sku-2084553546 889668239416

EBC Brakes RK7183 is listed as an Ultimax OE Style Disc Kit for 00-01 Ram 1500. The supplied description instead covers Redstuff brake pads, so the listing contains conflicting product details. Those pad details describe a synthetic-fiber compound with ceramic particles, no steel fibers, cold braking said to match or exceed original pads, and improved braking as the pads heat up.

The description reports 60 to 90 percent less dust, while also giving an approximate 50 percent dust reduction. It says the dust washes off with a sponge and compares the amount with semi-metallic pads. It also says the current compound lasts longer, brakes better and is quieter than the earlier pre-ceramic version. Bed-in may take 1000 miles as the pads conform to the rotor.

The description reports a stop 13 metres shorter than OEM pads for a passenger car from 100 mph (160 kph), a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5, and an EBC Brake-In coating intended to condition the rotor and speed bed-in. It says most EBC Red Ceramic pads have ECE R90 approval.

The stated pad applications include Mercedes-Benz GLB, GLA and CLA for 2020-2023 and A for 2019-2022, with more fitments to check using the vehicle fit widget. Brakes & Brake Parts; UPC 889668239416; SKU sku-2084553546.
