For mid to soft dirt, its directional tread provides traction and steering feel for riders with different styles. The Carcass Tension Control System (CTCS) tunes carcass flexibility for steering feel and accuracy.

The staggered middle blocks described for the MX32 have differently angled and sized mid-shoulder knobs to add side grip, keep steering light and responsive, and reduce grabbing in ruts. Eliminating tie bars reduces resistance to block bending, improving steering feel and stability in mud. A chiseled shoulder block derived from the MX31 penetrates the surface for side grip.

Revised knob placement and angles reduce knob stress.
