Accurate, wide-range noise measurement: This handheld sound level meter delivers high precision (+/-1.5dB) with fine 0.1 dB resolution across a broad span of 30dBA–130dBA. It’s ideal for checking the sound of running machinery, music levels, neighbor noise complaints, speech therapy sessions and similar applications. Power management & alerts: Built-in automatic power-off reduces battery waste and a low-battery indicator warns when cells should be changed. The instrument also performs a self-check at startup and holds that self-test for 10 seconds each time the unit is turned on. Range control & overload protection: A Max Hold feature freezes the highest recorded reading for review. If readings exceed the selected scale, an overrange warning prompts you to choose the appropriate measurement band. Available ranges are 30-80dB;50-100dB;60-110dB;80-130dB. Outputs for analysis: Side-mounted AC/DC output ports allow connection to external devices such as an X-Y axis recorder or a frequency analyzer for further statistical or spectral study. Weighting and response options: Select frequency weighting C for mechanical/noise measurements or weighting A for levels as perceived by the human ear. Two time weightings are provided — "Fast" for real-time response and "Slow" for averaged noise readings.
