The Dayton Audio Epique E150HE-44 uses a patented dual-gap MMAG motor to deliver outstanding linearity and very low distortion. A lightweight, damped carbon-fiber cone provides a notably smooth off-axis response up to 45 degrees. The driver achieves a highly linear 14 mm excursion, producing class-leading low-frequency extension and tight control. Advanced inductance control broadens the usable frequency range while cutting distortion, reducing compression, and increasing power handling. Substantial venting around the motor/voice coil keeps temperatures down to minimize power compression.
