In 1920, it acquired Giant Tire & Rubber Company, moved its headquarters to Findlay, Ohio, and began making tires.
During World War II, it supplied tires to the Allied Forces and received the Army-Navy 'E' Award. It became Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in 1946 and is now headquartered at its original Findlay factory site. The source describes it as the 4th largest tire manufacturer, without naming the region.

Its large shoulder cleats aid grip, while the rib pattern is designed to reduce road noise, improve stability and handling, and provide traction on mud and soft surfaces.
