Made of steel, this threading die holder kit includes a 2MT shank (MT2) and hardened, accurately ground shanks for reliable performance. The holder body is epoxy-coated to resist wear and extend service life. Interchangeable die holders are supplied in sizes 13/16", 1", 1-5/16", and 1-1/2"; each piece is clearly labeled with its size for quick identification. Holders lock into the body via a screw in the cavity at each holding spigot so the die remains secure and does not rotate while threading the workpiece. The Morse taper slides into the lathe’s tailstock while the die holder carries the threading die; a handle secures the body in place as the workpiece, clamped in the lathe chuck, rotates to cut the thread.
