Designed as a manual-focus lens, it gives photographers fine control—especially useful for night shooting and creative effects that autofocus can’t always reproduce. For best focusing accuracy, use live-view when composing. Handling tips for long focal lengths: employ solid camera support (a substantial tripod or monopod), practice steady technique, choose faster shutter speeds, and use a remote release and mirror lock-up to minimize blur. Important: there are no electronic contacts on this lens. Cameras will not detect the lens and may display “Lens Not Attached”. Please set your camera to M mode to operate the lens correctly. Automatic exposure is available in Aperture Priority mode only on cameras with TTL metering; other cameras must be used in full manual (M) mode.
