It temporarily cleanses canker sores, minor mouth wounds and minor gum inflammation caused by dental procedures, dentures, orthodontic appliances, accidental injury, mouth burns, cheek bites or toothbrush abrasions. Its light foaming action removes foreign material and food particles from gums, dentures and braces, helping the healing process and alleviating discomfort. The non-alcohol formula has a mild mint flavor. Adults and children 2 years of age and older should rinse half a capful, or 10 mL, over the affected area for at least 1 minute, then spit it out. Use up to 4 times daily after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a dentist or physician. Supervise children under 12; consult a dentist or physician before use by children under 2. Squeeze the smooth sides of the child-safety cap while turning, then reclose tightly. Store at 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F). Inactive ingredients are water, sorbitol, propylene glycol, Poloxamer 338, Polysorbate 20, methyl salicylate, menthol, sodium saccharin and FD&C Blue No. 1. Do not use for more than 7 days unless directed by a dentist or physician, and do not swallow. Stop use and ask a doctor if sore mouth symptoms do not improve within 7 days; irritation, pain or redness persists or worsens; or swelling, rash or fever develops. Keep out of reach of children. If more than the amount used for rinsing is swallowed, seek medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. Do not use if the carton is open or the printed bottle band is broken or missing.
